【Korean Artists Create a Gentle Utopia

Paintings depicting the self or nature are not uncommon, but what makes a good work? It is a profound knowledge, which not only tests the artist's subtle observation of life, but also an ability to understand the world. The Korean artist Kang Jun Seok, who I want to introduce to readers today, draws beautiful and dreamy worlds through his insight into the surrounding environment.

Korean artist Kang Jun Seok's first overseas exhibition "My Mate in HK" is inspired by the natural environment of Jeju Island, South Korea, allowing everyone to feel the characters, animals, and natural scenery, presenting fond memories and depictions of childhood Utopia in the heart, and open people's imagination of the past self, I hope the work can free the viewer from the burden and struggle of real life.

Through soft brushstrokes and low-saturated tones, as well as flexible use of textures and arcs, the gaze in the painting is softened, as if stepping into a natural fairy tale world , so that every viewer will naturally feel the big picture from Jeju Island, South Korea. Naturally, let us face up to ourselves and our past fatigue in this imaginary space.

Even if life is very tiring, you have to cheer yourself up and find a way to relax your nerves. You might as well appreciate Kang Jun Seok's works carefully and start a dreamy journey!
