Nara mosquito net handkerchief made in Japan
The handkerchief is made of mosquito net fabric, which is hard and flat. After washing the starch on the surface, the whole becomes soft. Because it is a four-layer mosquito net fabric, it is full of softness, strong water absorption and quick drying, leaving no unpleasant odor, hygienic and comfortable.
Making mosquito nets is a local traditional industry in Nara that has been active since the Edo period until today. Nowadays, mosquito net gauze is used to make various series of products. "Natural" refers to the original appearance of the fabric.
Mosquito nets are well-ventilated fabrics with rough creases. A manufacturing method that uses thread weaving to allow air to pass through a large space. Also, because it is a woven fabric, it does not deform easily.
*Mosquito net fabric is made of very environmentally friendly materials. The finished product will be coated with a layer of vegetable starch at the end. It is recommended to soak in water before the first use, and it will become a soft material after soaking.*
